Congratulations to all the winners in the "Partners in Recovery" Poetry Contest.

The state wide winner is:

1. Susan J. Anger with her poem tittled "MANIC"

The Regional winners are:

1. Louis Elio in the Central region with the poem tittled "Discovery"

2. Sylvetta Snowten in the Southern region with the poem tittled "Key"

3. Betty McTeague in the Northern region with the poem tittle "Am I there yet?"

We would like to thank all of those very creative people who submitted their poetry. All of the submissions were excellent and it is great to see how many wonderfully creative individuals is part of CSP. The judging was difficult. One judge called it "grueling". I certainly appreciate your patience in waiting for the winners to be announced. I want to thank all of the judges, both statewide and regional. This was a very difficult process for them.

There will be an awards luncheon in honor of the poets who submitted entries and the judges who agonized over them. The particulars will be announced soon in a separate e-mail. Also, all entries will be posted to our web site sometime during the next month or so.

Again, thank you for making the Partners in Recovery Poetry Contest such an overwhelming success.
